“Dave Dolan, Greg Ager, and the entire Signal Hill Team led an efficient, effective process from start to finish. We were impressed every step of the way by the guidance we received and the deep domain expertise displayed. Their combined experience within Supply Chain, Trucking and Logistics Software was the perfect fit for us. We couldn't have chosen a better partner to work with through this transaction.”
ShipXpress Has Been Acquired by GE
Signal Hill is pleased to announce that its client ShipXpress, a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions that enable transportation, industrial, and commodities businesses to efficiently operate and collaborate with their supply chain partners, has been acquired by GE Transportation (NYSE: GE), the world’s leading producer of rail and transportation-related products and offerings. ShipXpress will become part of GE Transportation’s digital portfolio.
ShipXpress’ clients include major North American railroads and Fortune 500 companies in the energy, agriculture, chemicals, and metal industries. The deal extends GE Transportation’s portfolio of solutions into the logistics value chain, giving it new offerings for shippers, and expanding its ability to deliver information and transaction services for shippers and railroad customers around the world.
“We are thrilled to join GE Transportation’s Digital Solutions team and further develop our combined ‘smart rail’ and commodities supply chain software capabilities,” said Seth Maerowitz, co-CEO and co-Founder of ShipXpress. “By integrating our software products into GE’s technology and resources, we’ll provide our customers with the transportation industry’s most powerful cloud-based, data-driven solution to optimize operations, accounting, supply chain information and performance."
The acquisition is the sixth transaction closed by Signal Hill’s Enterprise Software team in five months.
